about

A nice slow-build up. I enjoyed doubling the vocal, another example of felicity during the recording process; somehow or other it occurred to me that the one could sound like it was haunting the other, which is fitting for the tune - it being, in some weird way, sung from the perspective of an Incan king in the days of Pizarro. The gradual addition of electric guitar, tambourine, and eventually flute was neat to work out, each getting a moment in the spotlight. The first appearance of my flute-playing in released form.
