about

The recording process had a couple real felicitous gems. Like, the accidental delay on the lead guitar when returning to the non-wah patch happening to be exactly in time with the music; and the tambourine work, initially intended to be one track of rattle & one track of thump, sounding awesome when all five various takes of that track were played together. The guitar solo turned out to be epic and cool; and the overall deal, with a (to my ear) extremely fun homage-to-Tom-Waits kind of feel. All evolved in the process.

I played all that shit! Acoustic & electric baritone guitar, tambourine, and kick drum (played by hand, with the mallet unscrewed from the pedal).

Matt Miller, Baritone Guitarist & Singer/Songwriter Flagstaff, Arizona
